IP Tracking and Cookie Consent
Cookie Consent: Why Survalyzer does not ask respondents for their consent to store cookies
There are several different types of cookies that you can use on your website. Depending on the purpose of the cookie, you may require the prior consent of your users.
The following are some cases where consent is not required:
Cookies used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication, such as cookies that allow the processing of web server requests over a pool of machines instead of just one (load balancing).
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide an online service that the person explicitly requested. e.g. user-input cookies (cookies used when you ask your users to fill out an online form or when your customers use a shopping basket while purchasing products on your web site), or authentication cookies (when users authenticate themselves on your web site to log in in order to check online services such as their bank account).

Survalyzer does not use cookies to store information in the browser but Survalyzer uses the local storage to save information. From regulatory point of view it does not matter if you use cookies, local storage or another technology.
Survalyzer stores local information in the browser only for the functional purpose required by the user to run the survey software. For this reason, the cookie consent request is not required
IP Tracking: Can i disable it?
The IP address is a key element on the Internet for determining who is sending a message to whom. Without the transmission of the IP address from the client to the server, the Internet as a whole would no longer function. You can find more information here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Protocol
The IP address may be considered personal information under European Union regulations (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/oj).
Whether the IP address is considered a personal field in the case of an online survey has not been conclusively clarified in legal terms. There are various arguments that clearly speak against this and Survalyzer cannot provide a conclusive clarification.
As a Survalyzer account administrator, you have the option whether you want to save the IP address for each workspace. If the IP address is not saved, Survalyzer deletes it from the system immediately after transmission.
